Capacity: 7 Passengers
When I moved to the Philippines, I made a choice not to have a car. Traffic here is terrible, specially in Manila, and sometimes you take the whole afternoon to do a simple task depending on the place you have to go. That's why I usually prefer walking. However, sometimes it's just impossible because of the distances.
When I really need a car, I usually take a taxi, but taxis here in Manila are a nightmare. Really, for me it's one of the most stressing situations I have to deal with in the city. When the drivers notice you are an expat, they immediately take the longest route and try to take advantage of you. I hate that. And they usually pretend they don't know the address you said - even if it's something obvious like the BGC - just because you are not going far. I hate when people treat me like an idiot. So I decided to change and forget about taxi drivers once and for all!
The alternative I've found is Anis Transport. You can hire them for a whole day or for the needed hours. It's just as if you had a private driver. The cars are new and clean and the drivers are very professional.
- Anis Transport offers day trips from Manila to the main touristic venues around, like Villa Escuredo, Tagaytay, Hidden Valley Springs and Pagsanjan Falls. Car + driver for 9 hours at 1.750 pesos! :)
